The Basic Driver Improvement Course that has been court mandated is pretty much the same as the other BDI course. It is just named differently because it goes to another Florida DHMSV department. The course is fairly easy with a mixture of text, graphics and animation. The cost will end up around $35, with taxes and fees. The cheap online traffic schools will make you pay for the Certificate of Completion, with taxes and fees end up the same price.

The BDI course will take between four and six hours to complete. You can work at your own pace and finish the course in several sessions if you want. When you register, check out whether your work is auto saved or at different time intervals. No sense in doing work over, as all the online traffic schools are different.

The 4 hour traffic school is basically a Defensive Driving Course to make you aware of the driving environment. It is also a refresher course to improve your basic driving knowledge.
Its aim is to improve your driving skills, prevent accidents and hopefully hellp you get fewer traffic tickets.

The Certificate of Completion is usually mailed to your home. Most companies charge for emailing your certificate or sending it to the Clerk of Courts for your county. Review the prices for these add on costs on the traffic school website to see if it's worth the additional costs.
