I know you're bummed out. I was too, not only was the car a total wreck, my parents were all over me about it. At least they seemed happy that I wasn't hurt. I did have some aches, bruises and was embarrassed about the whole thing. I was Court Ordered to take a Florida Traffic Collision Avoidance Course.

The online traffic school course for TCAC was actually interesting. You don't realize alot of the bad driving habits that you have or learned. The TCAC course was like the other online course I took with text, graphics, animation and some video. The  cost of this 4 hour course was $35, which is about average. The course was a Basic Driver Improvement Course with an emphasis on Defensive Driving. It also stressed poor driving habits that leaded to car accidents. It took me 5 hours to complete the course.

Florida Traffic Collision Avoidance Course- 4 Hour

The Basics:
1. Traffic Laws
2. Highway Safety
3. Driver Responsibilities
4. Drug and Alcohol effects on driving
5. Your Vehicle
6. Highway Emergencies

Advanced Information:
1. Defensive Driving
2. Common Driver errors
3. Effects of speeding
4. Use of safety restraints
5. Good driving habits to adopt

I thought the course was good and made me realize some common poor driving habits I'd been using. The DHSMV TCAC course was definetly worth the trouble. I learned alot and my car insurance company didn't raise my rates after I submitted my Certificate of Completion. I think I've become a better driver and I learned to avoid all the distractions that led to my crash. Good Luck on your TCAC course.
