The Florida Aggressive Driver Course is court ordered because a judge thinks your driving is leading to trouble. Its also known as The Aggressive Driver and Street Racing Course. It's better to take this 8 Hour course than to have your license suspended.

A Aggressive Driver Course can court ordered if the traffic judge feels any of the following applies;
1. Multiple traffic offenses that display aggressive driving
2. A Road Rage Citation
3. Speeding Tickets in excess of 30 mph over the limit
4. Multiple speeding tickets in a short period of time.
5. Citation for Street or Drag Racing

Pete who lives down the hall in my dorm was busted and had to take the Aggressive Driver Course. He told me it was an 8 Hour Course and had to be done in a classroom . He couldn't find an online traffic school that offered the course. He gave me his work books when he completed the AD course.

The course outline is as follows;

Florida Aggressive Driving and Street Racing Course

1. Establishing self control
2. Accept responsibility for your actions of anger or aggressive driving
3. Identifying the causes of violations and poor driving habits
4. Development of a plan to change your aggressive driving
5. Understanding how your attitudes affect your driving
6. Negatives of aggressive driving or street racing
7. Establishment of positive behaviors and attitudes
8. Understanding your triggers for aggressive driving

The course work books were well laid out and detailed. Pete said the instructor talked to each one of them about their reasons for their aggressive driving and attitudes. He said the course made him understand what was happening and he had to make a plan of action to change his aggressive driving habits. His AD course cost him $65. While doing research on Aggressive Driving Courses I found the cost to be $60 to $85, depending on the county in which the AD course is taken. Hopefully, in the near future one of the Florida Traffic schools  will put the Aggressive Driving Course online, and I'll report it here. Good Luck on taking the AD course.

Update: The Florida DHSMV has mandated the Aggressive Driving Course may only be offered in a classroom setting. The Florida Traffic School that offers courses throughout  Florida , including Orlando and Tampa markets, is Nations Traffic School. The class is held on Saturdays.
